Parents are the first teacher.

PARENTS are the major factor causing the illiteracy crisis nationwide among school-age students. Too many students are beginning school and are already behind. There are consequences to a parent’s failure to be the first teacher. We must indeed read to our children from birth… but at a certain age, the child must be able to read. Too many have not been taught how to read, hold a pencil, or write their name. So they begin school already behind and spend their first years trying to play catch up in vain.

The benefits of helping your child cannot be outweighed when it comes to your child’s learning success.

Your home is their first school.

We have an epic crisis! Along with a shortage of teachers, we have to contend with class bullies, and disruptive students with behavioral problems who steal valuable classroom teaching time, and affect the overall quality of each child’s learning experience. There are many advantages to teaching your child.  At home, you can teach and re-teach to ensure the lesson has been learned. In a classroom if your child learns the instruction, great! If they don’t, the class must move on and your child is left behind. Poor reading skills have become a nation-wide problem. Education has advanced. Kindergarten students are learning first grade skills.  Five-year-old students are learning to read, write and do arithmetic. Pre-K-4 students are now learning the kindergarten curriculum.

Only a small percentage of public school children begin school ready to learn.

Our Program In Action.

These students were taught by their parents using our program.

Meet Ruth
Qualls

Ruth E. Qualls, has helped thousands of children to learn to read or improve their reading skills. Through her proven, step-by-step reading program entitled, Let's Make It Difficult for our Children to Fail®, parents can learn a clear, simple approach to teaching and correcting reading skills that work for all ages.

Ruth would like to help parents avoid lamenting or singing an unwritten song that so many parents have sung time and time again. The lyrics of the song are, “ I wish I did this”, or “l wish I’d done that!” or “If only I’d known.”

For almost fifty years she has helped parents by giving them easy-to-use solutions to help them develop above-average students.
